Reach us by bike

Arriving by Train

From the Main Station Berlin Hauptbahnhof 
Take the S-Bahn line S5, S7 or S9 direction Zoologischer Garten. Change there to the underground line U9, direction Rathaus Steglitz. Change again at Spichernstrasse and take line U3, direction Krumme Lanke. Get off at Freie Universität (Thielplatz) and take the exit Faradayweg. Turn left and cross the street at the traffic light. Turn right into Faradayweg and follow it for about 200 m; the entrance to the institute is opposite the park. Ticket AB is needed for this tour. 

From the Station Berlin Südkreuz 
Take the S-Bahn line S41 in any direction (S41 is the circle line clockwise) or S46 direction Westend and get off at Heidelberger Platz. Change to underground line U3, direction Krumme Lanke. Get off at Freie Universität (Thielplatz) and take the exit Faradayweg. Turn left and cross the street at the traffic light. Turn right into Faradayweg and follow it for about 200 m; the entrance to the institute is opposite the park. Ticket AB is needed for this tour.

For all trips described here, a ticket for the fare zones AB is sufficient.

A one-way ticket: Tarif Area ABC costs 3,80 EUR; Tarif Area AB costs 3,00 EUR; Tarif Area BC costs 3,50 EUR.

Arriving by Plane

From BER Airport

For the trip to the Berlin city center you need an ABC ticket. For all others a ticket for AB is sufficient.

Bus: The express bus lines X7 and X71 offer a good connection every 5 minutes from BER (Terminal 1-2) to the U-Bahn station Rudow (U7). Bus line X71 also connects to U Alt-Mariendorf  (U6) every 20 minutes.

Regional train: A fast connection in the direction of Berlin city center is offered by the Airport Express FEX (Flughafen-Express). From BER Airport (Terminal 1-2), it travels via S Ostkreuz and S+U Gesundbrunnen to Berlin Central Station - Berlin Hauptbahnhof. The service is supplemented by the RE7 and RB14 lines and offers four trips per hour.

S-Bahn: Further connections to Berlin are offered by the S-Bahn lines S9 (direction S Spandau) and S45 (direction Südkreuz), both of which run every 20 minutes.

A taxi from BER takes approximately 45 minutes (outside of rush hour). The fare is about 65 EUR.

Tourist Information
First time in Berlin? Don't worry! Just head to the Tourist Info Center on the first floor of Terminal 1, where you can make hotel reservations, book guided tours, pick up a city map and travel guides, and buy souvenirs, among other things. You can also buy the Berlin WelcomeCard here.

 

Arriving by Car

From south
The Fritz Haber Institute can be reached by autobahn A115/E51, take Exit no. 2 – Hüttenweg. Follow Hüttenweg, then turn right into Clayallee. Turn left into Saargemünder Straße, then further on Brümmerstraße. Turn right the 2nd street into Faradayweg. The NOMAD Lab. of the Fritz Haber Institute is on the right side opposite the park. 

From north
The Fritz Haber Institute can be reached by autobahn A100, take Exit no. 13 - Hohenzollerndamm. Turn right on Hohenzollerndamm and follow Hohemzollerndamm, then further on Clayallee. Turn left into Saargemünder Straße, then further on Brümmerstraße. Turn right the 2nd street into Faradayweg. The NOMAD Lab. of the Fritz Haber Institute is on the right side opposite the park.
